DESCRIPTION OF THE Gender4STEM Teaching Assistant
The Gender4STEM Teaching Assistant is a tool box platform specifically developed for secondary-level teachers (especially in STEM), schools’ psychologists and career advisors, head of teachers, schools directors…
It provides educational and awareness-raising materials to support teachers in deploying gender fair teaching practises into their classrooms
The materials can be videos of female role models in STEM, guidelines for hands on activities, tips, toolkits, quiz… and offer piece of advice to give girls more interest in STEM.
The Gender4STEM Teaching Assistant has been developed by Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (“LIST”) in cooperation with Fundatia Professional (Romania), Stichting VHTO (The Netherlands), Smart Venice SRL (Italy), Consulio (Croatia) and Women in Digital Initiatives Luxembourg ASBL (Luxembourg), as part of the Gender4STEM project cofunded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union (more information about the project: http://www.gender4stem-project.eu/). The Platform is hosted and developed by Consulio and during the project period (from 01-09-2017 till 29-02-2020) is managed by LIST.
The Gender4STEM Platform is presented “as it is” and any express or implied warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of fitness for a particular purpose are disclaimed.
In no event unless required by applicable law or agreed in writing will LIST be liable for damages, including any special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Gender4STEM Platform (including but not limited to loss of data).
When you register on the platform, you will have to provide a username, an email address, a name, your country of work, your job title; if you are a teacher your work experience’s duration, your main teaching field and the main level of school education in which you teach. Those are the only data that you will have to provide and they will be processed by LIST, in accordance with the applicable legislation and in particular with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU) 2016/679.
LIST will process and record those data:
- in order to manage your personal account and to allow you to have access to this account in the future
- to allow you to better experience the platform. In fact if you choose to navigate on the platform by using first the “self-assessment tool”, your personal data, will allow LIST to provide you recommended contents related to your profile.
- to improve the content of the platform by taking into account your feedback in view of your profile
In addition, but only if you give your express consent at the moment of the creation of your account on the platform, LIST might occasionally use your data in order to send you information on Gender4STEM events and training, and further developments of the Gender4STEM project and platform. You may withdraw your consent at any time by accessing your personal account and unticking the related box.
LIST will treat your data confidentially and it will not be communicated to third parties without your consent.
We will only keep your data for as long as we need it to give you access to your account.
You can access, review, update, correct or delete the personal data you have provided us by sending an email at the following address email@example.com. You can also at any time decide to close your account by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.

LIST reserves the right to periodically publish updated or new versions of the present terms and conditions of use.
These terms and conditions of use are subject to the laws of Luxembourg. In case of disputes concerning the validity, interpretation, execution of those terms and conditions, the Courts of Luxembourg will be exclusively competent
